One Day in December by Josie Silver

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

Synopsis: Imagine sitting on a bus one December evening, tired and crankily waiting for passengers to come and go, and you spot him. He’s what you’ve heard could be out there – you’re soulmate. You lock eyes and he feels it too. You both don’t know what to do, but it’s to late anyway – the bus pulls away and there goes the love of your life.

Review: This novel was chosen by Reese Witherspoon’s book club, Hello Sunshine. So I just had to pick it up. Who doesn’t want to read a cute love story this time of year? This is an adorable, light-hearted, quick read and I absolutely loved it.

It’s a tough love story to read through at certain points. Because it’s true. Love can be uncertain at times and finding the one that’s your 100% is no easy feat.

This story was well written and it made me laugh and cry. It is also worth noting the novel takes place over a 10 year period – which I love because I think it makes it a little more realistic. It also doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with Christmas. But I think our hearts are more open to love over the holidays?

Great read! I recommend!
