Eight Weeks of Summer

Here it is! – My eight books for your eight weeks of summer!

These are books I’ve read and loved and I personally think they are perfect for your summer reads. In the summer I am always in the mood for quicker beach reads, patio books to pair with sangria, and books to read in the evening under the stars that are either adorable stories that make me laugh or a psychological thriller I don’t want to put down.

So my favourite romantic comedy summer reads are:

-The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary

-The Hating Game by Sally Thorne

-The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren

These are the adorable love stories that are fun and easy to read and will make you laugh out loud and fall in love with the characters.

Two of my eight book picks are a little less about love and a little more dramatic:

-Crazy Rich Asian’s by Kevin Kwan

-Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty

These two are just fun and exciting to read, they are dramatic and have a little more depth to their characters.

Now, here are my psychological thriller summer recs:

-Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris

-Watching You by Lisa Jewell

-Sharp Objects by Gillian Flynn

These three are so well written and twisty with turns I couldn’t have expected, I didn’t want to put them down. They are perfect for summer evenings and will keep you up late at night checking to make sure your blinds are closed!

So along with these eight books I have two audiobook recommendations for you ambitious readers. I don’t know about you but I can’t get enough of audiobooks. I listen while I drive, clean the house, take the dog for a walk, and exercise at the gym. It’s a great way to get through so many of the books you want to read.

-Dark Matter by Blake Crouch 🎧

This is a mind blown type of book and I loved it so much! It’s a sch-fi that will keep you guessing at every page.

-Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston 🎧

This one is my new fav right now. I was trying to find excuses to listen to it and I didn’t want to stop. It’s so amazing on audio, it’s like I’m watching a movie. I highly recommend it!

Enjoy the sun friends, happy reading!
