Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhood by Trevor Noah ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
Trevor’s book was an incredibly powerful and moving introspective look into his upbringing in a post Apartheid South Africa. Full of hardships, humour, terror, but at the heart of it all, love.
It was so interesting to learn of his childhood and adolescence in a culture of poverty and crime as well as how race, language, and politics greatly affected his upbringing.
Trevor is the voice of the audiobook and listening to him is the cherry on top. His sense of humour comes through in every story – I highly recommend this one!
