Long Bright River by Liz Moore

Long Bright River by Liz Moore – 5/5⭐️

Huge thanks to @librofm for this gifted audiobook. It was incredible!

I absolutely loved listening to this one and the narrator was fantastic. This story was tragic and eye opening and really dives into the opioid crisis. I’m far removed from the world this author wrote about and I think this story is very powerful.

The voice we hear from is Mickey. She’s a police officer in a rough town in Philadelphia. Her and her sister, Kacey use to be inseparable until Kacey got pulled into a very bad, but real world. Its been years since Kacey and Mickey talked. Sometimes Mickey would see her on the street, and a few times took her in for solicitation. Now though, a few young women from the street have been murdered and Kacey can’t find her sister anywhere.

This one is suspenseful and very moving. You should read it!
