One True Loves by @tjenkinsreid⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
This was a sad but loving book! I read it with @portcityreads as a buddy read and we had a lot of fun discussing it. The whole plot of the story really had me thinking – it’s easy to go down a rabbit hole of what would I do!?
So the premise of the book is this: Emma is one year married to her best friend Jesse. They are so happy and in love, travelling the world and pushing each other. Then he’s gone in a helicopter crash and Emma is left in pieces trying to figure out how to move forward without him. Years later she runs into an old friend from high school and maybe she can find love again!? But Jesse is found alive just as she’s settled into a life with Sam. Who’s her one true love? Can she have two? Who will she spend the rest of her life with?
So yeah. Wow! I think this is everyone’s worst nightmare (losing a child or spouse). I couldn’t imagine and this book made me cry. TJR really is an awesome author and I recommend this for an adorable romance.
I also switched teams between Jesse and Sam a few times during the book. It’s good!
I will mention that I still standby with Evelyn Hugo being my fav TJR book, Daisy Jones in second and this one in third.
