Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston 4.25/5 ⭐️

I listened to this one on audio & it was amazing. I felt like I was watching a romantic comedy and I loved every moment of it!

Alex, first son of the first female president of the United States has to pretend to be best friends with Henry, Prince of Wales after a quite hilarious – but unfortunate – incident they found themselves in. There are some other family members on each side that make great supporting characters and I honestly enjoyed the whole book so much. There was a great story in here and I found it a bit magical. But I’ve always loved royalty fairytales haha!

I’ve read a few reviews on Instagram about it perhaps being “escapist” since the US did not elect a female president in 2016, but regardless this is a very enjoyable read and I highly recommend the audiobook! The voice of the audiobook, Ramon de Ocampo did such an amazing job at portraying the characters and bringing them to life too, which made it that much better for me! Also – LGBTQIA 🌈!
