The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica

The Other Mrs. by Mary Kubica – 3/5 ⭐️

I have a couple other books by this author on my shelf & I haven’t gotten around to reading them yet, but have heard good things! My fiancé picked this one up for me at the grocery store recently and I hadn’t heard about it or seen it around on Instagram, so I was intrigued!

It’s a lot different than what I thought. I actually didn’t think this was the direction the book would go. It’s definitely a book that will trip you up! It wasn’t my favourite psychological thriller but it was a roller coaster and I was invested in reading to get to the ending. I had a gut feeling about one of the characters at the beginning and I was right about that. It’s not a shocking book, but has some twists.

Sadie & Will move their family from Chicago to a small island in Maine and shortly after their arrival, one of their neighbours, Morgan, is found dead in her home. The murder rocks the island and all eyes are on the new family in town.

It was a little slow at some parts but overall not a bad read. One you’ll probably get through quickly.
