The Mousetrap by Agatha Christie – 5/5 ⭐️
Wow! I’m a huge Agatha Fan & she rarely disappoints based on the small portion of her books I’ve gone through. But I loved this one! My goal is to read her entire collection – which I have devoted to it’s own bookshelf haha.
I ended up stumbling upon the fact that The Mousetrap is actually the worlds longest running play which is pretty neat. It first started showing in 1952 and has run consistently since covid stopped everything in March. It’s not a long story- approximately 70 pages. But wow, it packs a punch.
It’s written in Agatha’s classic writing style – the perfect murder mystery that she sets up masterfully with a WOW twist at the end to reveal the truth!
This one is about a newly married couple that opens a B&B. On their first night of business a huge snowstorm comes in, forcing a group of strangers to be storm stayed together. The only problem is one of them is a murderer!
SO GOOD!
